The left ear can sound different then the right, if a person pays attention they can sense which direction the communication is coming from. That is just the peope who are actually reporting this to an authority who keeps track. Most do not report this because of stupid questions and assumption like this question & the stigma associated with these things.
Write them down word for word to the best of your ability over the next week and then look at the sum of them. Then ask yourself did you physically and actively call those thoughts into your mind or did they just randomly pop into your mind?
